Tattoo Care and Preparation

Please practice good hygiene prior to your appointment. Shaving is not necessary since I shave all clients before every tattoo. Do not drink alcohol at least 24 hours before your appointment to prevent excessive bleeding. 

The morning of please confirm with me that you are still good to go for the time that you requested. If you need to reschedule for any reason you may do so free of charge until the day of. 

Please eat a balanced meal and drink lots of water before and after your tattoo. Your body can handle pain a lot better on a full stomach. 

I am very easy to talk to so if you have any questions during the process feel free to ask. Do not be afraid to change the placement or details of the final design. After all it's on your body forever not mine.  But please keep in mind that majors changes may effect the price of the tattoo. I can advise you the best I can, but it is your tattoo. 

If you'd like to bring guests with you we ask that you keep it at 2 people max. Kids are welcome as well. 

Taking care of your tattoo is crucial to ensuring its longevity and beauty. If you opted for the plastic wrap after your tattoo, take that off after 2 hours. Then clean it with your hand using Dial Antibacterial Gold Soap. Pat dry and apply healing ointment to the tattoo 2-3 times a day. 

If you opted for the second skin bandage, you can leave that on for 4-7 days. When removing the bandage be sure to do it in the shower or with water running over the area, and pull towards your body NOT away. Then clean it with your hand using Dial Antibacterial Gold Soap. Pat dry and apply healing ointment to the tattoo 2-3 times a day.

Tattoos take 2-4 weeks to fully heal. During this time stay out of direct sunlight. Do not spend excessive time in water including pools, beaches, hot tubs, and bath tubs. While your tattoo is healing itching is normal however do not scratch it or else you may rip out the ink. Instead patting/ smacking helps a lot. Once healed applying sunscreen everyday will ensure your tattoo looks just as vibrant as it did the day you got it.
